Our Response
The House of Friends recognizes the inherent goodness of all people. We realize a union in which all of life is one, and connected. We honor the humanity that joins us and celebrate the differences that set us apart.

The House of Friends is dedicated to making a difference in the world for peace and justice and live our lives in solidarity with the communities we serve through peaceful direct action.
We seek with a strong desire to conduct ourselves in a more caring manner, engage in work that makes the world a better place and seek to make changes in the way one lives and acts towards others and the earth that sustains ones life.
The guiding principles of The House of Friends help us deepen our relationship with one another by making time for personal development, seeking to live a life of simplicity, becoming involved in community service, working for peace and justice, seeking to live a life of nonviolence and becoming more aware of how our lives affect the earth.
If we truly want peace and freedom for all, we must let go of that which keeps us divided, and come together in conscious living as equal partners in the world we live in. It is our responsibility to find a balance in our thinking, in our lives and in our relationships to everything that has ever been or will be. It is said that what affects one of us is felt by all. Remember everything we do is not for ourselves but for the good of all.
